Well, This week was quite pathetic on my part I must say... But such is the way of procrastination. This week I spent 2 days in my home town (with no internet or reception), spending time with my grandmother who will be leaving to go back to Sweden very soon.

However, despite with setback, I did manage to create a few things as well as expanding further on the projects.

On the first day of the week, I managed the confidence to mention the cross discipline project to some audio students, I continued to mention that I was interested in some music for the Aftermath and potentially Specialization Projects.

I also started modelling my Faerie house, taking inspiration from the reference images in my last blog.

In reality, I am not a very creative person in regards to envisioning and inventing ideas (I'm the sort of person that can copy almost anything, but cant seem to come up with any original ideas, or if I do they don't turn out how I envisioned them to) and so I struggled with creating with faerie house, even though I had a reference image. However, I feel that after more polishing it should look like a half descent model with reasonable polyflow.

I was also put into a Aftermath group this week, where I felt relieved to know that my 'partner in crime' was in my team, however the third group member had not shown up which is a concern if we have to rely on a continuous 'no-show'. So hopefully if this continues, group may turn into a stronger group of 2. But until that potentially happens, It makes it hard to create Work Breakdown Structures and project plans when a entire team member doesn't show up (let alone that I don't know anything about him, his skills and his personality, etc.). However, I have started planing (excluding 'said team member') in case our group does end up losing a team member.

In regards to the Boot Camp, I realized when I was finished that I created the project in the wrong initial setup (in a blank scene rather than a third person scene), this caused the problem where I was unable to identify whether the triggers were working or not. However, I have created the triggers according to the tutorial, so in theory they should work.

Trigger Key Frames.

Trigger Blueprint.

Exponential Height Fog and Volumetric Fog.

I also started creating the Art Bible and Pitch documents for the After Math Project. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to create a uniform and professional 'look' by making backgrounds that were based on images of or relating to Lindisfarne, yet in the end I am still not entirely happy with the result, and so I may change it for the official Art bible. I also tried to use a particular downloadable font, however I was unable to use it on the University computers, and so I had to compromise for a different font that came with the program I was using.

The font I wanted to use.

The font I ended up having to use.

Unfortunately again, this week has not been as productive as I would have likes, but I still feel confident and excited to see the end results of these projects.
