This week has been a crazy hectic shamozzle of stress and lack of sleep.

Basically everything was due this week and so although I felt I have been relatively on top of everything there was still so much to be done...

I'll start by mentioning the Cross Discipline Project.

Below are some photo-bashing and concept designs for my Cross Discipline Project, essentially is like a audio visualizer, but simply with some kind of object rotating:

From here I made a rough grey box:

Then I researched how to create a stylized look in 3D and applied that to my grey box and extended the scene, and coloured everything.

I then brought it into Photoshop and edited it.

After this a spend a few days creating a music video in After effects, and so therefore had to learn After effects itself... But it all seemed to work out quite well, so here's the finished piece:

After this I moved onto my Specialisation and began modelling a chest:

After this I brought the chest into mudbox and sculpted the whole thing, only to then realize that the normals didn't work...

I tried making them in Maya to see if maybe they would just work somehow but no...

Then I tried deleting the duplicate assets to see if that would work, but also no...

Then I tried, just to hope that by some miracle it would work, to import my model into substance and bake the normals on there, but still also no...

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO I had to separate all my UV's and re sculpt the whole bloody thing.... But I would say the only upside to this would be that I did a better job with sculpting the second time round, and so my model ended up better for it.

So I brought the model into Substance and textured and rendered it and this was the final result:

I love it ^_^

After I finished with the chest I did want to move onto remaking my house from world builders but I definitely did not have enough time so I had to sacrifice that idea (see what I did there??)

So the rest of the week consisted of finishing up the Project breakdown, the show-reel and updating my baseline to make sure it was all good. I spent ALLOT of time on my show-reel and I think it was worth it, as I think its pretty shmik:

The Project breakdown was another very late night as well as the Presentation slides that was presented today (Tuesday week 13). But I got almost everything done! only 1 more thing to go which is incredibly exciting... I am so excited for sleep.. I have clocked 60 hours this week consisting of MANY late late nights. But Its a fantastic feeling to see how far I have come with my 3D skills, and I have really enjoyed this Trimester. Next week will be the Exhibition which is going to be awesome, and then finished for the year.
